Individual Retreats

Crestone Mountain Zen Center is open to individual guests throughout the year. Whether for a spiritual retreat, undistracted time for work or writing, or just to be in nature, guests are invited to come and enjoy the beauty and quiet of our area, as well as the mindful atmosphere of our center. If you stay as a guest, you are free to spend your time as you wish, independent of our meditation and work schedule.

From October through May you can rent private cabins, while the resident community follows a monastic schedule. The cabins as well as our beautiful Guest House rooms are also open in between Summer Guest Season groups (June through September) .

During the Summer Guest Season you are welcome to join meditation and morning service and take your meals with the resident monks and Zen students. The monastic schedule varies slightly with the season and is available for download.

Hillside Cabin
Recently remodeled, 280 sqft, queen bed, full bathroom, kitchenette, desk, wireless internet

Prices per day including three vegetarian meals:
$100 (single), $140 (double) – less than 1 week
$76 (single), $112 (double)  - 1 week or longer
$60 (single), $96 (double) - 1 month or longer

Young Pine Hut
Cozy rustic log cabin, 120 sqft on two stories (bed downstairs), low desk, wireless internet (shared bathroom in Guest House)

$65 (single) – less than 1 week
$54 (single) – 1 week or longer
$45 (single) – 1 month or longer

Yurt
140 sqft, nestled in the piñon pine juniper forest 240 yds away from the main campus and bathroom facilities

The yurt has no heating and is available from May through September when not in use for group retreats. Please inquire.

Guest House
Spacious 200 sqft room with sleeping loft, desk, wireless internet, shared bathroom in the hallway

$50 (single), $84 (double) - 1 month or longer
